COD 3+1 Paralegal Studies Program
College of DuPage (COD) students can now earn their associate's degree from COD and their Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal Studies from 91ÖÆƬ³§ in just four years.
Degree Format
This 128 credit hour program includes 92 credit hours of COD coursework and 36 credit hours of 91ÖÆƬ³§ coursework. Upon completion of the program, you will receive your associate's degree in Paralegal Studies from College of DuPage (COD) and your Bachelor of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies from 91ÖÆƬ³§.
Curriculum Pathway
The student completes 64 hours of coursework at COD to fulfill the requirements for the associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies at COD.
Upon completion, the student blends 28 credit hours of additional COD courses with 27 hours of 91ÖÆƬ³§Paralegal Studies coursework and 9 hours of 91ÖÆƬ³§Mission courses with 91ÖÆƬ³§faculty. Our Paralegal 3+1 allows for 18 91ÖÆƬ³§hours online; the other 18 will need to be completed in-person.

Discounted Tuition
The 92 credit hours of COD coursework will be completed at COD tuition rates. The final 36 hours will be paid through 91ÖÆƬ³§, at a significantly reduced tuition rate.
Who can enroll in the program?
- Students who have completed an Associate of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies at COD.
- Students who have completed an Associate in Applied Science degree and take the necessary additional coursework to earn an Associates of Arts or Science.
- New students to COD who indicate their intent to enter the 3+1 program. Students should ideally apply in their first semester at COD to receive appropriate advising.
- Students can apply for admission to 91ÖÆƬ³§when they are six months away from completing their associate degree.

Additional Bachelor’s to Master’s Fast Track Program
During year four, students have the opportunity to apply to the Fast Track Program. Upon admission to the program, students may substitute up to three Criminal Justice graduate courses (500-level classes) for three Paralegal Studies undergraduate courses. Tuition for the graduate classes will be charged at the 3+1 rate, and financial aid will apply.
After the student receives their BA, the remainder of the courses in the graduate MS in Criminal Justice program can be completed in one year. The student can apply a 20% Frequent Flyer discount to tuition.
