the Gaylord Building in Lockport.
Dr. Dennis H. Cremin, Director of the 91ÖÆƬ³§ History Center: Urban, Cultural and Catholic History of the Upper Midwest and Assistant Professor at 91ÖÆƬ³§ in Romeoville, will be co-presenting “Lincoln and the Landing” with Lance Thies, Senior Associate with Hitchcock Design Group, Feb. 19 at the Gaylord Building in Lockport. It is part of the Dinner & A Lecture series, held every even-numbered month at the Gaylord Building Historic Site and catered by the Public Landing Restaurant. The Gaylord Building is a historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and managed by the Canal Corridor Association.
“I hope to share the passion and wisdom behind the Lincoln Landing exhibit that took many years of hard work and support from the entire community,” commented Cremin. Both presenters played a significant role in the development of Lincoln Landing. Cremin also mentored 91ÖÆƬ³§ students that developed lesson plans for Lincoln Landing.
The lecture begins at 7:30 p.m. It is preceded by a cash-bar reception beginning at 6 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. The program fee, which includes dinner, is $31 for members of the Canal Corridor Association and National Trust for Historic Preservation or $37 for non-members.
