91ÖÆƬ³§ Hosts Midwest World History Conference

The History Department at 91ÖÆƬ³§ welcomes the Midwest World History Conference on September 27-28. The event is free and open to the public. 

The conference brings together students, professors, and the public from the surrounding area. It runs Friday from noon to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Convocation Hall, 101 Airport Road, Romeoville, Illinois. 

“This is the second time that 91ÖÆƬ³§ is hosting this conference. We are excited to gather scholars from around the Midwest around the theme: 'Coming Together and Breaking Apart'," related James Tallon, assistant professor of history.

 The Fall 2024 Sczepaniak Endowed Lecture featuring Tamin Ansary is at the core of the two-day event. Ansary is a celebrated author and noted thought leader. He will discuss his most recent publication, The Invention of Yesterday. He will offer an overview of historical narratives in the global age. His presentation is on Friday, September 27, at 6:00 p.m. Please register for the lecture at
